STAR LEVEL: 3 & 4 Star EXPED (Silver Practice/Qualifier DofE)

Cadets must attend the Expedition prep session being held on Tuesday 6 May 2025, 1900- 2130hrs, at Sector HQ, St John’s Hill.

DATES: SATURDAY: Saturday the 24th through to Monday the 26th of MAY

LOCATION: The activity will take place in the Bramley, Hampshire and surrounding areas.

COST: £15

DEADLINE: 1200hrs 27th of APRIL 2025. Cadets will not be accepted onto the event after this time.

CADETS ARE TO PROVIDE THIER OWN FOOD FOR THIS EVENT. Rations will be made available if required, however cadets must still produce a menu plan. Rations need to be requested via Detachment Commanders.

AIM: The aim of the activity is to provide cadets with the opportunity to progress in their ACS syllabus across subjects

AVAILABILITY & PREREQUISITES: Cadets must meet the prerequisites for this event, as below. Cadets who meet the prerequisites will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

Prerequisites for this event is as follows:

• For all cadets:
  • a. Passed 2 Star Navigation
  • b. Cadets must attend the Expedition prep session being held on Tuesday 6 May 2025, 1900- 2130hrs, at Sector HQ, St John’s Hill.
• Plus or those on 3 Star / Silver practice:
  • a. Passed 2 Star Expedition
  • b. Passed 2 Star Navigation
  • c. Passed 2 Star First Aid
  • d. Completed all 3 Star Expedition lessons and be recorded on cadets Logbook.
• Plus for those on 4 Star / Silver qualifier:
  • a. Passed 3 Star Expedition
  • b. Passed 2 Star Navigation
  • c. Passed 2 Star First Aid
  • d. Completed all 4 Star Expedition lessons and be recorded on cadets Logbook.
• Plus for those on 2 Star / Bronze qualifier:
  • a. Passed 1 Star Expedition
  • b. Passed 2 Star Navigation
  • c. Passed 1 Star First Aid

REFUND POLICY: Should you pay and your cadets subsequently cannot attend, please be aware there is a no refund policy and no transfer policy for this event. This includes cadet who miss the coach or who are sent home from the camp early. If the event is cancelled by the organiser due to COVID-19, refunds will only be issued on request.

CONSENT FORMS: Cadets MUST bring the forms with them on the first day. Consent forms and information letters are available from Detachment Commanders (DC). Cadets who do not bring their forms with them will not be allowed on the transport. Please ensure medical conditions and dietary requirements are clearly recorded on the consent forms. If a cadet has recently made changes to the dietary requirements, they need to inform their DC asap so our system can be updated.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS: Cadets who are eligible for free school meals (FSM) are to select this option. FSM must be recorded on our records, please speak to your Detachment Commander if required.

Please note, the MOD/ACF insurance covers injury whilst on training, it does not cover personal property. Participants should ensure they are suitably covered by insurance by an addition to their home contents insurance or a separate holiday insurance for this event.
